Hello ladies! Let us first start by saying what an absolute honor it is to be able to speak with you today. Sugar & Kush has a very impressive store and online presence. What motivated you to start it?

"Thank you! Sugar & Kush was created by women to help open up the CBD to other women. Before Sugar & Kush evolved, the CBD space was highly saturated as a male-dominated industry. We want women to feel comfortable using CBD as a way to naturally help heal their bodies daily."

Do you see longevity in the CBD space?

"We absolutely see longevity in the CBD industry. We believe people are becoming well-educated on how natural healing is beneficial for adults. CBD has and continues to help people with underlying health issues through a holistic approach. "

How important is marketing to consumers of CBD?

"It's very important to market any product and especially to potential consumers. We believe education is the most important aspect when targeting consumers. We are not looking to make a quick sale, but to help women understand the health and mental benefits of CBD before purchasing."

How should a CBD business owner keep up with rules and regulations?

"To keep up with the ever changing rules and regulations of the world in allowing CBD to be purchased freely is a worthy challenge! We are constantly evolving and keeping up with federal and international guidelines. We found this to be a tedious position which has allowed us to create a team that specializes in these updates."

What’s the best way to educate consumers on CBD products?

"We put CBD education first. Our Sugar & Kush website along with our social media platforms allow customers to see the benefits, usage, ingredients, and full transparency about our team and mission. Our phenomenal customer service department takes their time to fully educate our customers on a daily basis."

Where can new CBD business owners go to educate themselves in the space? (podcasts, websites, forums, etc.)

"We encourage everyone to do their due diligence on researching the CBD space. We would say podcasts, holistic websites, forums, and even directly messaging brands are great ways to know more about what you are ingesting or applying to better your wellness."

Is it better to start with fewer products or to offer a broader product range?

"At the beginning of Sugar & Kush, we started with a few products. As we grew, over the course of several months to now over two years, we continue to expand our product lines. We really wanted to make our brand personal and over time we got to know what our customers really need and we  continue to build our lines around that."

Do you have any advice for someone just getting started with their CBD business?

"If you are just starting within the CBD world, do your research. Growing a CBD business is not easy, let alone any business. There is a lot of logistics that go into owning and running a CBD company. But if you have the desire to help others, along with surrounding yourself with the same patient and passionate individuals, then nothing can stand in your team's way."
