What inspired you to start your business? "I was talking to my son one day about starting a business. He advised me to do what I'm good at and do what I love. I love doing office administration and clerical work. One day I was scrolling through different posts on Facebook and there was a post that stood out to me about the virtual assistance business. At this time, I didn’t know such a business existed. The post had me thinking for awhile, so I finally did some research, which ultimately pointed me in the right direction to start my own Virtual Administrative Services Business." - Cathy
How did you come up with the idea or concept of your business? "I did not come up with the idea or concept of my business because the virtual assistant business was already out there. I didn't know this type of services existed until two years ago." - Cathy
What makes you an expert in your industry?
"I am confident in what I know and I’m not afraid to refer myself as an expert in my industry but I will say that I don’t know it all and cannot do it all." - Cathy
What is something that you wish your audience understood about your industry?
"I would like for my audience to take the time to research the advantages of using virtual assistant services. Also, learn how we make it easy for them to outsource administrative work, saving them time and money." - Cathy
To what do you attribute your success? What is unique about your business? "Success rarely comes overnight but not giving up is an attribute to my success. Many times, I wanted to give up, but I kept on pushing myself to stay motivated. Staying passionate and focused on obtaining the goals I set for myself are the primary reasons for my successes in business." - Cathy
What makes my business unique? "CACooper Services, LLC is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). I also offer my services to Government and other Veteran owned businesses." - Cathy
What hurdle(s) did you have to overcome in order to become an entrepreneur?
"The biggest struggle was my mindset! Fear of rejection and failure." - Cathy
Why did you choose this type of business?
"I enjoy doing administrative duties, clerical work and providing that back-office support to ensure efficient operation of any business office." - Cathy
If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out in your industry, what would it be?
"Have a plan and strategy. If you have a plan, make sure you have a plan B ready for execution. We always want our main plan to work out but sometimes it doesn’t go the way we planned. So that’s why you need a plan B, it will help you in the long run." - Cathy
